You’ve probably wondered about credentials on this blog (or not, just to cover all bases).  I’m here to tell you I have a unique authority.  This doesn’t make me better than anybody.  Please do not feel that ranking applies here, even though it appears to do so in so many other aspects of life.  This is just about shedding light on truth of things, that is all.

I am a late bloomer.  I got my first kiss at the age of 16.  I was a virgin when I got married.  I didn’t drink alcohol until I was 26 years old (not that this is a necessary rite of passage—if you’ve never tried the stuff just don’t start).  What this means is that, like some sort of anthropologist landing on an island that hasn’t been explored in hundreds of years, I have an older, more tunnel perspective of things as they unfold since they didn’t happen in the growth of my youthful spirit but rather later after the dust had settled.  That awkward, alienating I-don’t-belong feeling that so many humans feel…I felt that and have felt that my entire life since I carried the unlawful ‘not knowing’ naivety of stuff for so long.  And oh yes I held on to that bag way longer than necessary because what else are you supposed to do?? Not that anybody actually ‘belongs’ here on planet Earth because once you dig in you start to see the insecurity of everything.  And then you realize the ironic truth.  Stay tuned.
