Walk On

Not kidding, love this U2 song.  It’s my favorite U2 song.  It’s liberating, it magnetizes a soul to your purpose. Letting go is an art form.  It’s not easy.  Earth likes to condition us to things of safety and guarantee.   To let go and walk on requires a baseline trust: in this planet, in you and your purpose.  It’s walking off the proverbial cliff.  No small task.

A year and a half ago when I started going through my (very slow) journey of separating and moving forward (hey, my moon is in Taurus–meaning my emotional state is grounded in the slow moving, yet steady bull) I used to play this song on repeat and just bawl my eyes out.  Like, snot everywhere and swollen puffy face. Over and over again I would sob over Bono’s chords.  It was the beginning of everything breaking open for me.  The concept of “home” has been a deep wound for me since birth because of my upbringing so that one line is extra poignant.

Today I listen to this song with a big smile on my face and zero tears.
