There are 2 giant forces at play that slow down humanity: the ego vs dumb. Both of these forces are like a hot air ballon filling up a small walk in closet. They consume everything.

What would greatly benefit human connection is the ability to see what’s real and appreciate it. In order to operate this maneuver you have to put ego aside and see the big picture. You have to feel. You can’t have vision while playing small. Ego and dumbness causes people to play small.

Ego is the inability after crossing a line to say “I’m sorry, I care about you and miss you” and so a relationship dies on the vine because the ego blocks communication. Ego is the inability to take action by showing gratitude for someone dedicating their time and money to your cause(s) so you never get a chance to further mine the connection. Instead the ego just continues to sit up on its perch of entitlement of how important they are while the connection door stays firmly shut.

Dumb is just as much as life-force blocking as ego because dumb just doesn’t get it, period. The worst part of dumb is that you can spell it out for them and 9 times out of 10 they still don’t get it. Dumb shows up on the internet all the time because people are constantly looking for meaning and the world is a confusing place so dumb shows up in places like tweets and the comments section of news articles.

The key is to just be open to possibly. Just be curious. Have an “I don’t know” wait and see approach so that flow can take place. Have gratitude. This allows you to go beyond your own boundary and see the bigger picture. You have to remove ego and dumb to get there.
